I created an annual report for the Cleveland Public Library to learn more about type systems. Being a life-long library patron and enthusiast, I was excited about this project. The theme “exploring new worlds” was meant to evoke the library’s work in introducing people of all ages to new knowledge, skills, and experiences. I learned a lot about creating a consistent type system across a document, how to visually represent data sets, and physical production of the piece (I hand-bound the document with orange thread). This document could be distributed as a compilation of the library’s successes and expenditures of the year.
